FBLA inspires and prepares students to become community-minded business leaders in a global society through relevant career preparation and leadership experiences.
Well-qualified and dependable officers are crucial to the growth of any FBLA-PBL chapter. Effective leaders will:
Provide an environment where all members will grow professionally.
Include all members in a dynamic program of work.
Conduct the business of the chapter in proper parliamentary procedure.
Maintain complete current records and minutes.
Encourage individual and chapter participation in conferences.
Develop and implement a strong publicity program.

FBLA advisors provide quality education experiences for students in leadership, teamwork, citizenship, money management, goal achievement, and character development.
Duties and responsibilities of the FBLA sponsor include:
Overseeing meetings and elections of officers according to the FBLA guidelines
Assisting officers with developing meeting agendas and club calendar of events
Organizing, supervising, and conducting fundraising and sponsorship activities
Preparing students for competition at local, district, state, and nationals
